Charlotte woman finds massive 'ball of snakes' along greenway
CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A Charlotte lady shot a monstrous "wad of snakes" she went over amid a stroll on the Little Sugar Creek Greenway.
Monday, a photograph sent to NBC Charlotte from a watcher showed what resembles a writhing chunk of snakes.
"The main thing I did was take out my telephone and take a photo," Christine Proffitt said.
Proffitt was all grins amid the meeting, yet without giving it much thought, that wasn't the situation.
"I was truly panicked," Proffitt said.
Keep an eye out on the scenic route today folks.
Christine runs a similar way with her puppy practically consistently. What she saw Monday morning was so fantastic she quite recently needed to snap a snake picture.
"Regular I see four or five snakes unfailingly, however I've never observed 10 to 20 all bunched up that way," Proffitt said. "Nobody will accept on the off chance that I didn't take a photo. In this way, pics or it didn't occur."
Creature specialists said wind season is warming up, and like the temperatures, sightings are on the ascent.
Allen Eckman with A-1 Wildlife Control says it's snake mating season, and this is something that happens in North Carolina.
"One time under the creep space it was three copperheads, which are venomous and alternate circumstances it was three dark snakes," Eckman said. 3
"Inside somebody's home?"
"The three dark snakes were in the storage room," Eckman said.
